PGA CUP EXPERIENCE: 2009 (W0 L4 H0)
The big-hitting Lancastrian could be the ace in Alliss' pack with four successive Lancashire Matchplay titles under his belt.
Taylor is also benefiting from working with top coach Pete Cowen (also a former PGA Cup player) and with victory in this year's Lancashire Open, to add to his 2007 win, is playing some of the best golf of his career.
Completely self-taught (he'd never taken a lesson until he started working with Cowen) Taylor has won Open Regional Qualifying three times in 2004, '08 and '09.
He was runner-up in the PGA North Region Order of Merit in 2007 and Lancashire Order of Merit champion in 2006, '07 and '08.
Taylor has bagged a brace of holes-in-one and lists his interests as the gym and movies.
