PGA CUP EXPERIENCE: 2009 (W2 L2 H0)

The wine-loving Welsh ace has had plenty to toast this year with victory at Dundonald Links in the PGA Professional Championship as well as seeing his beloved Spurs team making significant in-roads into The Premiership.

With a coveted PGA Cup berth settled, Lee is looking forward to the experience at Loch Lomond having heard and played with so many past Welsh players to have made the team.

And Lee could be a very strong asset in Gary Alliss' team with an impressive list of achievements that straddles both the amateur and professional game.

He captained both GB&I and Welsh Boys plus GB&I Youths and has represented Wales six times in PGAs of Europe International Team Championship, captaining the team on one occasion

Other highlights include winning Surrey County Foursomes and an Open Championship pre-qualifier at Hankley Common in 1987.

In 1995 he won the Kenya Open with a tournament record 19-under-par and qualified for the Sarazen World Open where he finished in the top 20 against the cream of world golf.

James is the current PGA West Region captain and was PGAs of Europe Fourball champion in 2000 and boasts three Welsh Order of Merit titles.

In 1995 he finished in the top 20 in the Challenge Tour Order of Merit and has won the Welsh Masters.
