PGA CUP EXPERIENCE: 2009 (W1 L4 H0)

Jamie is a martial arts expert but has no doubt earned the nickname 'Marathon Man' over his passion for long distance running.

Probably the fittest man on either side, Harris revels in matchplay and enjoying the mental challenge that this format of the game produces.

He played a lot of matchplay as an amateur and was a winner with England at the 1994 European Team Championship. Jamie also played for England in the inaugural World Junior Championship in Japan in 1994.

Other highlights include victories in the prestigious Carris and McEvoy Trophies in 1993 and 1994 respectively.

He won a golf scholarship to Florida where he won the Southern Intercollegiate Championship in 1997.

In the past three years he has notched up more than 40 victories on the PGA South Region circuit and won on the Futures Tour at Windlesham in 1999 and on the PGA Europro Tour at St Mellion in 2000.

Harris played in the Millennium Open Championship at St Andrews and shot an 11-under-par 59 to win the Riseborough Trophy at Bognor. He has seven holes-in-one under his belt and lists marathon running (he's run three) and Jiu Jitsu (5th Kyu grade) as among his interests.
