PGA CUP EXPERIENCE: 2009 (W1 L2 H0)
If Gary Alliss is to reclaim the Llandudno Trophy he will need his six rookies to perform.
Barnes is one of those debutants and is currently riding high with confidence after a timely victory in the Welsh Open PGA Championship and a maiden success in the PGA North Region where he has relocated following a number of years in the Midland Region.
Earlier in his career he spent time studying in South Carolina and made an impact by twice winning the NCAA National Championship in 1997 and 1998.
Back home, other playing highlights include 10 wins on the Midland circuit plus victory in the 2007 HSBC Invitational South Staffs. He has also represented England in the 2008 PGAs of Europe International Team Championship.
Will has four holes-in-one to his name while away from golf supports Aston Villa Football Club and enjoys spending time with his young family.
